National Youth Gathering



No, participants and workshop presenters must be 29 years old or younger. The only exceptions are for chaperones, staff, counsellors, elders, and those supporting youth-led workshops, who can be over 29.
Youth under 18 can participate, but must be aged 15 years or older at the time of the conference. Youth 15 to 17 years old must also submit the appropriate waiver included in the online registration form and be accompanied by a chaperone to attend the gathering.


For workshop presenters, the deadline to apply is Thursday, October 4th at midnight CST.

For participants who want to benefit from a sponsored rate (covering a percentage of the full costs), the deadline to apply is Thursday, October 4th at midnight CST.

The general registration for participants and chaperones closes on Tuesday, October 30th at midnight CST.
The fee to participate in the Gathering is $125 for participants and chaperones. This covers programming and lunches for the 3 days. This does not include travel and accommodations, these are extra costs (please see "Accommodation" section below").

For local youth participants, the registration fee is $40.

Workshop presenters also benefit from a special rate. More information for presenters can be found here.

All participants may also apply for bursaries by mentioning they require financial assistance in the registration form, which can be found here.

The program will be finalized at the end of October 2018.
You will be notified by October 6th at the latest. It is also possible that you will be contacted earlier, since applications are accepted on a rolling basis.

We will review all applications, and email all applicants regardless of the outcome of their application.

Accommodation & Travel

CRE has booked rooms with a special rate at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Saskatoon East - University (1838 College Drive, Bldg# 2 , Saskatoon, Saskatchewan S7N 2Z8).

You can choose to stay at this hotel or find your own accommodation.
The cost to stay at the Holiday Inn is $158.46 per night per room. All hotel rooms are double rooms with either 2 queen beds or 1 king bed and 1 queen or sofabed. You can stay 2-4 people per room, depending on your preferences.

Single rooms would have to be booked separately and directly with the Holiday Inn (the negotiated discount would not apply).

Breakfast is also included in the hotel costs.

Please note that all participants are responsible for booking their own transportation to the gathering, either through the travel agent or by themselves, which includes getting to the airport nearest you.

We will also have buses leaving from nearby cities to Saskatoon. More information will be provided after you complete your registration.
